Pavilions is the upscale Albertsons banner serving affluent Southern California neighborhoods, with a focus on prepared foods, wine, and specialty grocery. It codes as a U.S. supermarket, so any grocery category bonus (Amex Gold, Blue Cash Preferred, Citi Custom Cash) applies at the register. Like other Albertsons banners, Pavilions runs the Albertsons for U loyalty program, and the broad gift-card rack at the service counter is worth knowing about if you want to extend a 4x or 6x grocery multiplier into other spending.
