Earning is topped by 8x at Hotels by Wyndham, including Travel Bundles, with 4x on travel, dining, and groceries excluding Target and Walmart, and 1x on everything else. The current 120,000 point offer is a limited time structure and a demanding one: 90,000 after $6,000 of spend and paying the annual fee in full within 120 days, plus 30,000 after $750 at Wyndham hotels within 180 days. The problem is the $395 annual fee, which only works if you use the credits rather than admire them: up to $100 at Wyndham hotels, $120 for meal delivery at $10 a month, $100 on streaming, $65 toward a wholesale club membership, and a $120 Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit every four years. Add Diamond status and a $95 Insider subscription and the paper value clears the fee comfortably, but if you stay at Wyndham once or twice a year, the Earner Plus does the same job for $95.
