Admirals Club Membership Jumps to $1,400
American Airlines said on August 3, 2026 that Admirals Club membership pricing changes on August 23. A full membership rises to $1,400 a year for general AAdvantage members, up from $850, and household memberships are being retired. A new $750 single membership covers only the member, with no guests and no partner lounges.
Discover Student Cards Move October 19
Capital One emailed Discover it Student cardholders on August 2, 2026 that their accounts move to the Capital One website and app on October 19, 2026. Card numbers, APRs, the no annual fee structure, the 5 percent rotating categories, and existing rewards balances all carry over, and the card stays on the Discover network.
Citi Expands Curated Table for Strata Elite
Citi and Mastercard are running three Curated Table events this fall for Citi Strata Elite cardmembers: New York on September 9, Austin on October 21, and Miami on December 2. Tickets start at $100 and sell first come, first served.
Capital One Venture Adds $100 Stays Credit
Capital One is emailing Venture cardholders that the $95 card now carries an annual $100 credit for hotel and vacation rental bookings through Capital One Travel. The credit renews on the cardholder anniversary date and needs no enrollment. Capital One has not published the change, and it has not reached every cardholder yet.
Kroger Cards Converting to U.S. Bank Smartly
U.S. Bank said on July 29, 2026 that Kroger co-brand credit cards will be converted to the U.S. Bank Smartly Visa, with replacement cards arriving between August and October. Balances, APRs, credit limits, and rewards carry over, but the 5 cents per gallon Kroger fuel discount ends once the new card is activated.
Chase Sapphire Lounges Drop Priority Pass
Starting August 15, 2026, Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club locations leave the Priority Pass and LoungeKey networks, ending the one free visit per calendar year and the $75 discounted repeat visits those members had. The same day, eligible Chase cardholders on a connecting itinerary get a five hour access window instead of three.
