Hertz is one of the three large U.S. car-rental brands and runs the Gold Plus Rewards program. Rentals booked direct at hertz.com code as car rentals on every card we track. Several premium cards offer status matches with Hertz President's Circle (Capital One Venture X, Amex Platinum), which adds a class upgrade and free additional driver. Bookings made through a card's travel portal earn the portal bonus rate but typically lose any direct-booking discount and may not always credit to your Gold Plus Rewards account.
