The Costco Anywhere Visa by Citi is at its best at the pump: 4% back on eligible gas and EV charging worldwide, 5% at Costco gas stations, and no annual fee. It adds 3% on dining and travel (including Costco Travel) and 2% on Costco and Costco.com purchases, so regular Costco shoppers get solid value across several everyday categories. The catch is the gas cap: the 4% rate covers only the first $7,000 in combined gas and EV charging spend each year before falling to 1%. The 2% warehouse rate applies only at Costco, not at Sam's Club, BJ's, or other clubs, and everything else earns just 1%. With no foreign transaction fees it travels well, but plan to pair it with a stronger card for general spending.
