Earning is straightforward too, at 2x miles on everything with 10x on portal hotels and rental cars and 5x on portal flights. The 5x on entertainment applies only to tickets bought through the Capital One Entertainment platform and excludes dining reservations and Capital One Dining, so treat it as a narrow perk rather than a category. The main caveat is that the $300 credit is portal-locked, so if you refuse to book through Capital One Travel, the effective fee stays close to the full $395.
