Citi is reducing the transfer rates for ThankYou Points to two hotel travel loyalty partners. The changes take effect April 19, 2026, giving cardholders about a month to transfer at the current, more favorable rates.

What You Should Do
If you have ThankYou Points and were planning to transfer to either Choice Privileges or I Prefer, you have until April 18, 2026 to lock in the current higher rates. After that date, the reduced rates will apply automatically.
This affects cardholders earning ThankYou Points through cards like the Citi Strata Premier, Citi Strata Elite, and other ThankYou-earning cards with transfer partner access.
