The headline rate isn't the club at all: 5% back on gas worldwide, including but not limited to Sam's Club stations, on the first $6,000 each year, then 1%. That, plus 3% on dining and takeout and no annual fee on the card itself, makes it a decent standalone gas and restaurant card. Sam's Club purchases earn 3% only for Plus members, so Club-tier members get 1% in-store and should not open this expecting a warehouse multiplier. Two caps matter: the $6,000 gas ceiling, and a hard $5,000 Sam's Cash limit on total card earnings per calendar year. The card also doubles as your membership card at the door, and the current welcome offer is a modest $30 statement credit after $30 in Sam's Club purchases within 30 days.
