The whole argument for the United Club Business is the lounge: a United Club All Access membership for the primary cardmember, which the card's own data values above $750 and which by itself exceeds the $695 annual fee if you would otherwise buy one. Around it sit first and second free checked bags for you and a companion, Premier Access priority services, and a 1,500 Premier qualifying point head start with 1 PQP per $15 spent up to 28,000 a year, which is a genuine lever if you chase status. The opening offer is 100,000 miles after $5,000 in three months, plus 2,000 PQP and 10,000 more miles for adding an employee card. Earning is thinner than the fee implies: 2 miles per dollar on United purchases, 5 on hotels prepaid through the Renowned Hotels program, and a flat 1.5 on everything else, which is fine as a catch-all but not category leading. If you are not using the Club membership most months, the credits for rideshare, Instacart, Avis and Budget, JSX, and FareLock will not close a $695 gap on their own.
