For a $150 annual fee, the United Business covers most of what a small business flying United needs: a free first checked bag for the cardmember and one companion, priority boarding, two United Club one-time passes a year, and 2x miles across United purchases, gas, dining, office supplies, and transit. The current welcome offer is 100,000 miles after $5,000 in three months, plus 2,000 Premier qualifying points and another 10,000 miles for adding an employee card in the first three months, which is a lot of value for that spend level. Recurring credits fill in the rest: $125 back after five United flight purchases of $100 or more in a calendar year, up to $100 in rideshare credits, $120 with Instacart, $100 toward JSX, and $50 on Avis or Budget rentals. The tradeoff is the flat 1x on everything outside those bonus categories, so this belongs alongside a stronger general business card rather than replacing one. Employee cards at no additional cost make it easy to push team spending through it without extra fees.
