If you already shop through Rakuten, this card stacks on top of that: 4% back on Rakuten.com purchases on up to $10,000 of spend per calendar year, a cap that was raised from $7,000 in July 2026, plus 5% on Rakuten Dining, all with no annual fee and no foreign transaction fee. Away from Rakuten the math cools off fast, with 2% on groceries and dining and just 1% on everything else, so this is a supplement rather than a primary card. The signup bonus was also cut in half recently, from $200 to $100 after $1,000 of spend in the first three months, which takes some of the shine off opening it today. The regular APR runs from 19.74% to 33.99%, so this is a card to pay in full each month. Worth it if Rakuten is a regular habit, easy to skip if it isn't.
