Kroger Rewards World Elite Mastercard
5% on mobile wallet purchases · $0 annual fee

U.S. Bank is no longer accepting applications for the Kroger Rewards World Elite Mastercard, so this is a card to evaluate only if you already hold one of its many store-branded versions. Its best rate was 5% back on mobile wallet and Kroger Pay purchases, which means the purchase had to be paid through a mobile wallet to earn it, and that rate was capped at $3,000 of calendar-year spend before dropping to 1%. Purchases inside Kroger Family of Companies stores, including Harris Teeter, Ralphs, Fred Meyer, and King Soopers, earned 2% with fuel centers excluded, and everything else earned 1%, so the true base rate was always modest. The extra fuel discount at Kroger fuel centers and the complimentary Boost Essential membership still carry value if you shop that ecosystem every week. If you're looking for a replacement, a dedicated grocery card will beat it outright: the Blue Cash Preferred pays 6% on the first $6,000 a year at U.S. supermarkets, and the no-fee Blue Cash Everyday pays 3% for lighter baskets.
