It also carries 15 months of 0% intro APR on both purchases and balance transfers, which gives it a second use as a short-term financing card. The tradeoff is that the flat rate is the entire rewards program: there are no bonus categories and no welcome offer, so any card paying 2% or more on everyday spend will out-earn it over time. The regular APR runs 17.49% to 26.49%, so the intro window only helps if you have a real payoff plan behind it.
